the airport terminal is located 40m from the train station (seems the closest distance in europe). The trip to Follonica station that is around 15 km from
punta ala is around 1 hour and 30 minutes, there is a train going there usually every hour during daytime, the trip costs around 6 euro, see the italian train

Roma Fiumicino airport:
in the airport there is also a train station, the journey to Follonica is around 3 hour with cheap train and can be less with more expensive trains, the cost
start at around 16 euro and trains are also quite frequent.
